Kettle Interiors partner with Bennie Equipment, the Kettering based equipment solutions provider again to go greener with a fleet of 6 new Lithium-Ion powered Doosan Forklifts.

Scope of Work

Bennie Equipment have helped Kettle Interiors, one of their existing customers, expand to meet demand with a fleet of 6 new Lithium–Ion powered Doosan counterbalance forklift trucks. 

Kettle Interiors based in Corby, has grown their operations to cover 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to meet demand. Using a purpose-adapted warehouse, handpicked staff and systems to ensure furniture is delivered safely and efficiently, the last thing they needed to do was to upgrade their trucks. Kettle Interiors has left no stone unturned to ensure they provide an efficient and high-quality service to their customers. 

Bennie equipment and Doosan have worked closely for many years, and working with Andy Duffield at MIDAC Battery UK, Bennie Equipment were able to supply these trucks with Lithium-Ion batteries, which provides multiple benefits to the customer such as faster recharging and the ability to opportunity charge throughout the day, which enables Kettle Interiors to keep up with their demand. The batteries are up to ten times longer lasting and more powerful than traditional lead acid batteries, and overall, they are up to 40% more efficient and offer a very low maintenance solution. 

This new fleet consists of Doosan B15T-7 electric trucks, all fitted with rear blue safety lights, oil cooled disc brakes, and a telematics system to monitor driver usage. This partnership was made feasible thanks to the help of Jelena Harris at De Lage Landen Leasing Ltd.
