Bennie Equipment has completed its largest racking project to date with over 16,000 pallet locations across 3 warehouses enabling the customer to centralise 4 operations into 1 site.

Scope of work

Completed at the end of 2024, Bennie Equipment supplied racking for 16,000 pallet locations across 4 operations over 1 site for The Ames Companies. We stripped out 8,000 pallet locations of racking as well as providing a further 8,000 storage places as new up to 11m in height.

Also, Bennie Equipment delivered this tailored made solution perfectly on time and to the customer’s specification.

Bennie Equipment also delivered a brand-new Aisle-Master as well as 4 refurbished Aisle-Masters and 4 new pallet trucks to support the warehouse operations across the 7 warehouses. This was a joint effort with our recently acquired west division team!

The Aisle-Master forklift truck is developed and produced to improve profitability. With ability to operate across very narrow aisles in a warehouse as narrow as 1.6m, articulated trucks can increase and maximise storage space. With their 5 trucks, they are able to increase productivity and operate more efficiently without the need for double handling.
