Forklift Service

With a combined experience of over 120 years, Bennie Equipment’s Northants forklift service department is well placed to be able to offer a level and quality of service that we believe will be hard to beat. We have a fleet of 8 modern and fully equipped forklift service vehicles manned by experienced forklift engineers, who are able to respond to our customers’ needs quickly and efficiently and this coupled with an effective spares supply network, means downtime is able to be kept to an absolute minimum.

We are able to arrange competitively priced forklift service contracts, which aim to give you the peace of mind that comes with knowing that a regularly and well-maintained piece of equipment is far less likely to break down when you need it most. The contracts are flexible and can be tailored to suit your individual needs, with variable service intervals determined by the level of usage of the equipment.

Should we be unable to carry out the repair on your site, we have the ability to transport your machine to our modern, purpose-built workshop in Northants, and supply, should you require it, a hire machine as a temporary replacement. Once the repairs have been made the machine will then be transported back to you.

Service Support

We offer personal levels of service – no 0800 numbers routed through a call centre.  

On a day-to-day operational level you will speak directly to our Service department.  

Our service team will endeavour to understand any breakdown called-in as best as possible to ensure that an engineer is dispatched with the correct tools and parts.  

This ensures a high rate of first-time fix – we’re not about just sending an engineer to site within four hours just to ensure we meet our KPI’s without any intention of repairing the equipment. 


Support & presence on site

  • Standard Contract Working Hours: Between 08.00am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday excluding Public and Bank holidays. 
  • All other times are defined as outside normal working hours. 
  • Bennie Equipment will ensure there is sufficient engineer coverage to meet the demands of the business and for such time as is necessary to maintain a 4-hour response. (Within normal working hours). 
  • 365/24/7 emergency breakdown cover is available at additional cost.

  • Relationships with local suppliers of hydraulic repairs / hose repairs / welding and fabrication (if we can’t do it ourselves), fork lift tyres.
  • Short term hire equipment held locally.
